Amplify the Impact —
FROM HOME!
You are cordially invited to Hebrew Free Loan Society’s Amplify the Impact 2026 event … from the comfort of your own couch!
We aren't renting a venue or hiring a caterer — and we definitely aren't making you put on a tie or heels.
Without spending a dollar on dinner, centerpieces, or party favors, 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to uplifting families across Greater Philadelphia.
Grab your after-event ticket now for access to our event recording.
Event details:
-
Join us live September 30th at 7:00pm as we delve into the grit that empowers people to take control of their financial situations. Explore the intersection of a real-life borrower story, groundbreaking psychological research, and the work of HFL Philly.
A recording will be available to all ticket-holders on October 1st.
-
Helping others to help themselves is the highest level of tzedakah. By empowering people through interest-free loans, we provide them a hand-up not a hand-out.
No one can tell the story of impact better than recipients themselves.
Hear a real story from a borrower of change made possible by our work in interest-free lending.
-
Gain exclusive access to an interview with acclaimed author of Grit, Angela Duckworth. With HFL Philly executive director, Anna Marx, Dr. Duckworth discusses her psychological research into grit and her newest research, and forthcoming book, into the impact of situation on people’s ability to thrive.
Together they examine how the work HFL Philly does helps support people in bettering their situations, empower them to be resilient, and tap into their grit.
Angela Duckworth’s second book, Situated, releases on 9/1/26.
Angela Duckworth, PhD, is a psychologist, a MacArthur Fellow, and the best-selling author of Grit and Situated. She is the Rosa Lee and Egbert Chang Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. To view her complete, exclusive interview with HFL, register for an after-event ticket!
No Caterer? No Problem!
We’re collaborating with local favorite HFL Philly supported restaurants to bring you a recipe collection to make your night at home with us special.
